Event: Talk presented at International Labor Organization Conference
Location: Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
In April 2019, I had the privilege of presenting a talk titled “Future of Special Education in Afghanistan” at the International Labor Organization Conference hosted at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This presentation aimed to highlight the challenges and opportunities for advancing special education in Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of inclusive educational practices.
During the talk, I discussed the current landscape of special education in Afghanistan, identified barriers to inclusive education, and proposed strategies for improving access and quality of education for children with special needs. The audience consisted of policymakers, educators, and advocates interested in promoting inclusive practices and supporting educational development in conflict-affected regions.
Participating in the International Labor Organization Conference provided a platform to advocate for inclusive education policies and collaborate with stakeholders committed to enhancing educational opportunities for all children in Afghanistan. It was a meaningful opportunity to contribute to discussions on sustainable development and social equity through education.
Stay tuned for more updates on my ongoing efforts to promote inclusive education and support for children with special needs.
